This CPD will provide you with the tools and approaches to integrate climate change meaningfully into both the taught and hidden curriculum, with the minimum of effort and disruption.

Leeds DEC has developed this training and support package in conjunction with climate specialists at the University of Leeds, colleagues from Black Lives Matter, young people from the climate movement, education experts in Latin America, Africa and Europe, national and international global learning networks, and teaching colleagues in schools. It is the result of over 7 years' work with primary and secondary schools in Yorkshire, the UK and across Europe integrating climate change into teaching.
Course Outcomes
This course will provide teachers with:
- A sound overview of the essential Climate Change issues and the knowledge to teach them well and confidently
- Tools and guidance to incorporate Climate Curriculum Learning Outcomes across the curriculum
- Engaging curriculum-linked resources and mentoring to create and trial your own lessons
- Opportunity for discussion and sharing and learning from colleagues
- A framework for integrating climate across all areas of school life
- A certificate on completion!
