Thursday 20th October // 10am - 3pm // Carlisle FC
Join us next month for the fourth annual YOUTH CLIMATE SUMMIT.
We are very pleased to be hosting this all-day event at Carlisle Football Club in Partnership with Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS) and with funding from the Zero Carbon Cumbria Partnership (ZCCP).
The summits are a great opportunity for your school to share what it has been doing for Climate Action and to get inspired by other young people to develop new ideas and actions in your school. Our theme this year is
Making change in your communities through transport solutions
and we hope that by having a common theme, a louder voice from young people can make a difference in local communities and across Cumbria over the next year.
The workshops will be creative, interactive and give the pupils who attend ideas and knowledge so they can re-create them back in school, so their peers can also get involved.
Whether your school has been actively engaged in climate related action in the past year or not, we would love it if you could join us and schools across Cumbria on 20th October. What you have been doing does not need to relate to transport. We are suggesting a teacher plus 3-4 pupils attend who are upper Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3.
